2024-25 Programme

We host a number of French speakers each year to discuss various topics relating to French culture. Some highlights from previous years include exciting talks on La Tour de France, General Charles de Gaulle, Napoleon, and Le Mans. The planned events for the year can be found below.

Zinedine Zidane, alias Zizou, était une figure emblématique du football français de la fin des années 1990 et du début des années 2000. Il a aidé la France à remporter la Coupe du monde en 1998. Joueur de l'année à plusieurs reprises et Ballon d'Or, il restera dans l'histoire comme l'un des plus grands du football. Vincent Raymond-Barker nous offrira une conférence captivante sur la vie et la carrière de cette légende du football.

Zinedine Zidane, also known as Zizou was a powerhouse of French football in the late 90's and early 2000's. He helped France lift the World Cup in the 1998 World Cup. Player of the Year multiple times and winner of the Ballon D'Or, he will go down in history as one of the greats in football. Vincent Raymond-Barker will provide us with a riviting talk about the life and career of this footballing legend.

- Lemon cheesecake and brandy snap

- Crème brûleé and red fruits

- Coffee/Tea and chocolate

Cost per person £40.00.

Payment by Cash or Cheque to be made payable to 'Beverley Anglo French Society' and given to Michèle Robillard at our next meeting on May 20th 2025, or sent to her address:- 'Birch Coppice', 1 Main Street, Tickton, Beverley, HU17 9SH by Friday 6th June 2025.
